REIMAGINING OUR COMMUNITY, TOGETHER

Adaptive Reuse Feasibility Study

Phase 1

Assemblymember Stefani L. Zinerman obtained a $125,000 grant award from the state to initiate analysis of the 13th Regiment Armory located at 357 Marcus Garvey Blvd., Brooklyn, New York in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The goal is to determine what possibilities are available as the community imagines how to better utilize the space.

COMMUNITY MATTERS

Share Your Opinion

As our team continues to conduct research, understand the possibilities and opportunities available to us, we want to hear from you, our community. Your opinion matters. The New Marcus Garvey Armory is a large, underutilized space. Help us decide what it will become.

Will it be an indoor recreation facility? What about a space for commerce? Imagine what you want to see next in your neighborhood.

Who Is On The Team?

Assemblymember Stefani L. Zinerman worked with Professor John Flateau, PhD, at Medgar Evers College and Paul T. Williams, Jr. to assemble a team of researchers, community organizers, visionaries and architects to begin Phase 1.
